Coffee, Festivals, and a Whole Lot of Bikes!
The coffee is flowing freely in the roastery this morning as we gear up in preparation for our busiest weekend of the year!
On September 7th & 8th you can find us at the 12th annual Berwick Food and Beer Festival where we'll be serving up a brew along with bags of your favourite blends. The festival is organised by the Slow Food group and held in the town's historic 18th century Barracks. You can pay for a weekend ticket or just stay or a day but along with entrance to the festival itself, the entrance fee grants you access to the Barracks museum which we'd highly recommend taking a look around. Over the course of the weekend there will be plenty of entertainment including local musicians, dancers, demo kitchens, and various kids activities. Across the Barracks there will be upwards of 90 stalls and this year promises more street food than ever before! We promise you'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to what to eat and where to shop! The whole weekend really is an outstanding event showcasing some incredible local wares.
On Monday the 9th you can find us on Berwick Quayside at a special one-off market to celebrate the third-leg of the Tour of Britain which starts in town. The market will run from 9am until the race end around 4pm and will be host to lots of local street food, craft stalls, and various other local produce.
We would hate to let our regulars down so rest assured you'll still be able to find the sweet smell of coffee at the Edinburgh Farmers' Market on Saturday the 7th and our very own Northern Edge Coffee Bar will be open as usual from 11am-5pm across the weekend, with extended, early opening hours on the Tour of Britain day.
It's set to be a fantastic, fun-filled weekend and with so much to see and do we're definitely going to need a few extra cups of coffee to keep us fuelled. We hope to see you all at some point over the weekend!
